Hi, i'm a new comer to the x100 having resiliently stood by my m8 for years. Amazing photos here guys!
I have a simple question:
I'm getting amazing output in my JPEG (i shoot raw+jpeg) but the raw files are either horrendously underexposed or not anywhere close to as nice when i open them in adobe camera raw. I have tried applying the fuji x100 profiles which have solved the colours to an extent but the files often lack the dynamic range of the jpeg and are very underexposed. What am i doing wrong?
If you have the Dynamic Range setting at anything other than 100, you'll often get underexposed Raw files, while the DR-adjusted Jpegs will be more-or-less as you expected. If you set DR at 100 (effectively, this is OFF) then the Jpegs and Raw should roughly match... but then, of course, you don't get the DR compensation from the camera.
Ok, so am i right in understanding that I should just stick to JPEGs to fully utilise this camera?
