A bit of long shot perhaps, but maybe someone has found something...
I'd like a close-fitting zip pouch for my IIIf and Elmar so that I can slip it in a jacket pocket. At the moment, a Rollei 35 lives there, but I want to switch to the Leica for a while. The problem is finding a pouch that's a snug fit, and particularly one that doesn't have additional pockets and flaps on the outside. Most camera pouches these days are too small (for little digital compacts), so I reckon it has to something from further afield.
Any suggestions?

Same question. Youxin Ye threw in a Leica "readycase" when I purchased a IIIf + Elmar combo from him, but the case is for a larger lens--the Summitar (?). I'm looking for something that reduces the size of the camera but still protects it.

Go to a few thrift stores, where you are bound to find a bunch of film point and shoots. One of them will come with a pouch , that could fit it. I use one from Olympus zoom P&S.
Fits Leica/Zorki/Fed with collapsible lens and hood comfortably.

Check with Op-Tech and A&A. Not sure if they are as snug as you want, but it is worth a look.
Here is just one of the options from Op-Tech:

I am interested in what you come up with as my IIIF resides in a Crumpler Bundle and will not fit in a jacket with that. A pouch would be nice to keep dust and such away.
Let us know what you wind up with.

I made a simple bag out of old blue jean material that works well for my IIIc and Elmar. Cut a piece of fabric 9 inches by 12 inches. Fold in half so it is 4 1/2 inches by 12 inches. Sew up one short end and one long side and turn inside out. The IIIc and Elmar fill the bottom half of the bag and the excess folds over to hold it in and provide a little padding. I carry one often like this in a pocket. Keeps the camera clean from lint and such in your pocket. Good Luck, Joe

Although not a zip pouch, I use an older Lowe Pro case which works great for my iiif and Summitar (when collapsed). Unfortunately it doesn't have any model number on it but I remember looking at the newer version and it was not suitable (lots of external pockets, etc.). It might be worth scanning the bay for older Lowe Pro stuff though.

I just bought a Leica AF-C1 today and I could not resist testing the fit my Leica Standard into the AF-C1 leather pouch.
It's great, has a belt holder and even a Leica logo on it !

I bought this Benser pouch case from a German seller on ebay. It is a perfect fit for my Barnack Leicas with 50mm lens. It is only a single layer of leather with no padding but it seems well made and provides a bit of protection. As far as I recall it cost about £6.

For my leica ii with collapsible lens, I use a drawstring pouch that is meant for glasses. Must be similar to this one (if not that one exactly): http://www.myeyeglasscase.com/index.cfm/a/catalog.prodshow/vid/20759/catid/209
Works well when I slip it in my coat pocket or a bag.—no bulk or padding, but containment, and scratch protection.

This National Geographic belt pouch fits my M7 with 35mm Color Skopar fitted, with still a liiiiiitle bit of room to spare. I imagine it would fit the IIIf with Elmar, too. It comes with a shoulder strap so you can use it like that if you wish.

I'm leaning towards making something. I can sew (hand or machine), but I've never made anything like a pouch before, or sewed a zip onto anything. I think I could make something suitable from neoprene, so I'm going to track some down and see what I come up with.
That said, please keep the suggestions coming in.

Over at LUF, Bill gave me the tip for my II to use the leather belt case for the Minilux Zoom:

The II is 133x67x33 (LHW) and the IIIf 136x65x33 so perhaps it will work.

If this is about scuff marks, here's the answer: use a woolen sock!
You can get them in sizes and even colors and it's easy enough to slide the whole camera in with the Elmar lens collapsed. Protects if from scuffs and wandering jacket pocket dirt too. Slides into the pocket easily!

I've always believed the camera body is intended to cover and protect what's inside. I just tried to answer the OP's question
Still as protective gear goes, a sock certainly will stand out as unusual and quirky in a very positive way!

I have a soft leather zipper pouch made by Leitz for the CL. It fits the prewar models with Summitar, Summar or Elmar perfectly. The IIIc and later, slightly longer-body ones fit, but are a bit tight. It actually spends most of its time holding my micro 4/3 camera, for which it is a bit big.
