Some more great shots this week! Lynn, some lovely Sydney shots and Erik more beautiful work!
This week I'm back on shadows - all taken within a minute of where I live....Leica III with the 50mm Elmar (again...!). I may soon be giving this combo a bit of a rest as I've finally got a lens for my Nikon S2 which I fixed a few months back....

Good one! I'm always uncertain on what exposure for sky shots. I bracketed mine to be sure. I like the dark one I posted best. But even with color film, all three came out good.

Same here, I think I'll give Ektar a try again. I've been so attached to Portra for quite a while but have recently seen several Ektar shots that really looked great!

Lovely photos, David. Great effect.
I need to upload some Summar and Hektor shots to my image host this evening.
I only have them up on Facebook at the moment and the image compression sucks too much to share those here

Thanks, the Hektor was a bit of an investment (what with the service and all), but I'm definitely liking the results I'm getting with it.

Hi, I have just taken delivery of a 5cm f2.5 Hektor (chrome) 1933 scaled in feet and hoping to put it to use shortly. The 5cm Hektors are
quite scarce lenses these days and very few are available due to collector interest.

The barrel looks great. If the glasswork is likewise, you have a beauty!

Thanks Erik,
It is in very nice condition for it's age, 82 years, with just a few very tiny dust spots inside.
I will give it a try, when I can, on my Leica II or my SONY Nex 5 digital.
If I find it needs it I will send it to Malcolm Taylor the U.K Leica repairer for a clean and service.
The glass is unmarked with no scratches as is the chrome barrel.

The Hektor is a very capable lens. It was discontinued because of the high price of manufacture. I twas replaced by the Summar, also a fine lens, but very different in character.
