Erik,
You are "THE MASTER" of the 5cm Hektor and post the most superb examples of photography that I have seen using this lens and other Leica and Nikon glass.

Hi, I have just taken delivery of a 5cm f2.5 Hektor (chrome) 1933 scaled in feet and hoping to put it to use shortly. The 5cm Hektors are
quite scarce lenses these days and very few are available due to collector interest.
Mine certainly looks more moth-eaten than yours.
And it also went to Mr Taylor for a re-polish and a full rebuild. He did amazing work on it. If you get to talk to him, give him my highest regards.
Just took possession of my 28mm f/6.3 Hektor. Camera is loaded and ready to go. Hopefully I can find some inspiration in the next two weeks

Dear friends,
I never expected this thread to become as successful as it has turned out to be! A great big thanks to all those that posted their great pictures in it!
Also, I'm happy to announce that I will be participating in this much-read thread once again soon. This coming week I will become the owner of a 1932 Leica II with uncoated nickel Elmar 3.5/50mm.
It is the 207th Leica II ever made, and has serial number 71407. My own 'production date' being 71-4-17, this is a very special find for me and I expect to cherish this camera for many years to come because of that.
Some of the images posted in this thread have been very inspirational to me and I hope to every now and then post something that can stand in their shadow myself.

Welcome back to the bottom-feeders Johan
Your previous black Leica II (now also sporting a nickel Elmar) is still with me. (as is that IIIa with SCNOO rapidwinder and that DS M3...and that Zeiss Ikon Nettar)

I love the picture of that guy with the owl! The other pictures are also good. Seems you have a fine example of the Hektor.

It would've been better if the Superpan 200 film had not put up a fight to go onto the developing reel. Lots of scratches
But the Hektor is my new favorite 50mm lens.

To practise with a worthless piece of film in total darkness helps.
Hmm, attractive lady on that recent picture of you.

It's the thin carrier of the Superpan 200 that's giving me trouble. It hates Paterson reels apparently. No trouble threading in a roll of Rollei RPX that came directly after it.

Nice!
That Hektor is still on my wanted list. But the prices are a little out of my league.
