There are many versions of te Hektor 73mm. Wich one do you have? I have the slim (rectilineair focusing mount) all black version.

Excellent shots everyone. I am seriously regretting selling my IIIa/Summar combo now....

SOOHN shade for Hektor 28mm is godawful expensive. I finally paid $224 for a somewhat scruffy one from an eBay seller in Bulgaria. That was the cheapest one has changed hands for on eBay in a year, typical prices are above $300. (That would have been more than I paid for the lens!) Some folks are a little timid about buying from the "Eastern Bloc" countries. If you pay with PayPal by credit card, you're plenty safe.
I also got a nice Elmar 35/3.5 from Riga, Latvia for a very reasonable price ($144) in 2006.

Nice shots all!
I took an uncoated ±1933 Elmar 50/3.5 with me to Amsterdam last week and hope to pick up color shots from that trip this week. I'll be posting here for sure!

Took my 1932 f3.5 50mm Elmar for a walk the other day on its Leica 11- Pus-X in old Neofin Blau (check out that uneven development!).
I want to try again with a wider lens!

Nice take on those John.
I live just down the road and was trying those same shots only last week.

Michael,
Thanks - I have spent too long concentrating on the windmill in Lytham, so decided to take advantage of a sunny luchtime last week. I really should make a mental note not to reuse Neofin after 24 hours - the streaks on the negs are horrid. Next batch will probably be processed in Xtol for a change....

Great shots, John!
From the bare-breasted fellow in the first shot and the sun in the others I can actually deduct that for once England wasn't the most soaked european country this last season! Holland had its wettest season (I'm not saying summer on purpose here) for 106 years!
Autumn storms have set in today, I'm considering an autumn visit to the UK, to get me some sun!

Thanks, Johan, but we didn't get much of a summer either. I don't think it has been that wet overall, but you couldn't really count on more than two days together for sun.
These shots were taken about a week or 10 days ago - I popped out for lunch on a sunny day. Not sure if the sunbather had been at the meths / brasso/ other, as it wasn't really that warm, and you meet all sort on Blackpool prom
Anyway - I think I need to do it all again, and get my processing right - horrible big streak right down the middle of the whole neg strip, nt to mention dust in my el-cheapo scanner.
As Michael said, it has been blowing old boots for a couple of days now - definitely a sou-wester needed to keep the toupe in place
PS: I just heard on the wireless that this has been the coldest summer for 60 years in the UK!
