After a few months of enjoying the leica, i reluctantly have to let it go. With tuition and other expenses, i have to say good bye to my dear friend 🙁

I have a leica mp and a 50mm summicron(latest version) both in NM condition. how much would they fetch?

If the prices are a lot lower than what i originally paid for the combo, then i don't think i'll sell. I paid about 3000.

I don't know if this is the correct forum for this or if it's allowed, if it's not, I apologise.

Don't sell if you can possibly avoid it.

In 10 years' time you'll be glad you didn't. The temporary financial crisis is forgotten long before the pain of selling a camera or lens you really like. Where is my 150/6.3 Tessar now?

Unless of course you don't really like it...

Cheers,

R.

I completely agree with Roger.

Don't, don't, don't...unless you really don't like it.

KEH and completed eBay listings are a nice guide to current market prices. You may not get $3000 back for the kit but you'll come pretty close. $2200 for the MP and $650 for the lens would get you a quick sale. I'd list them here and figure out a way to get paid without fees. If you put them on eBay and have to eat paypal fees you're down at least 6%. Good luck.

Since they are both in Near Mint conditions. Sell them separately, most likely I'd say that You might get around 2300 USD for the Leica MP and 700 USD for the Summicron Lens, which means that You won't lose at all or just a little bit like 5 to 10 percent ;-)

Otherwise, keep them both as most likely you'll regret it later on. Just go on diet, and reduce your social outings in order to save money in these tough times...
