what's the going rate on a minolta 90/4 m mount lens in good shape?

i did a completed search on ebay and came up empty.

thanks.

joe, you should bookmark THIS GUY. This is where I always go to get an idea on prices. The Rokkor is listed under the M lenses (@ $250). I think he's pretty accurate, anyway, from what I've seen, he's pretty close. I think he's a member here, too—at least I've seen him post a few times.

He covers a lot of lenses—Canon lenses, too. Oops! You're off those now! 😉 🙂 🙂

oh dan and i go way back...we actually talk to each other now😉

i'm pleased with the purchase, if it's close to how it's been described i'll be very happy. i had 2 of these before with my pair of cle's and know what they are capable of.
be interesting to see it compared to the hex 90.

I think you should wait a week or two to pick it up. You have to simulate the customs experience you have become used to.

Congratulation.

i got it!

the description was dead on. this lens looks brand new!
the box is a bit yellowed, but the warranty card and the lens info is still in it.
has original caps and hood and the glass is clear, like it's never seen daylight or a cleaning cloth!!
aperture is firm enough and clicks crisply and the focus is smooth!
it's a tiny thing and fits the cl perfectly.

i could not be more pleased.

joe

Congrats Joe 🙂

I'll play the gadfly today ... isn't this lens actually slower than the hexanon-m? (which by the way, is a FANTASTIC lens) Is it much smaller? The Hex-90 is pretty compact as it is, and exceptional build quality.

Kind of makes up for all the crummy experiences of the past year or two.

gadfly?

yes, it is slower and a touch smaller and lighter. this will be part of the cl outfit which is built for size and portablility.
i'll post a side by side pic tonight.

I'm confused, Joe. In the pics, it looks like the Konica lens is on the right since it goes down to f3.5 and has no visible red dot. Yet the other lens, presumably the Minolta 90/4, looks like it has a built in hood which mine does not. What am I missing here?
