Question about my Red Skin leica MP

I never heard MP got a Red Skin version, but I searched the net in China, I found 0.85 version and 0.58 version both,

you know, Chinese prefer red than any other color, although leica cancel the red badge for being undertone.

so I want to got the 0.58 version for my 28/2a lens

did any one know what series number is for the red version MP,

I am not sure whether anyone changes the skin into red in HongKong or not.

The box calf red leather covering is available via the "a la carte" program, where you can customise a brand new Leica MP/M7. You can also bring your Leica MP/M7/M6 back to Leica to get it re-skinned with the same leather you find in the "a la carte" program. But as 0.85 and 0.58 is now only available as an "a la carte" option, plus it would be unnecessary and strange for a seller to go through the process of putting a new covering on a new camera, I am guessing that, if it is new, it is a Leica a la carte MP.

Oh and you can also get a Leica covered in red leather from Cameraleather, but again, seems unnecessary and strange.

I thinks only "a la carte" program can explain the red skin MP

Because it is not like Rlouzan mentioned, the leather is more smooth and fine

The texture of leather is not like the black version and the version mentioned by Roluzan

And all the Red leather MP, have no packing and box, only a naked baby with its red skin that you want to touch it

So I am not sure it is a brandy new one or second hand one, I guess it is a second hand

Just don't specify the color of your text. It will automatically appear in the perfectly contrasting color based on what each member has chosen. I have not been able to read any of your posts, but gather that it is about red Leicas, based on the replies.

Post a picture of your camera. Probably done by Leica but could also have been done by Cameraleather (Kid skin).
