Hi,
The T3 40mm seems to be mounted on an Industar-50's back end but it's one of the early Zenit (3m) Industar-50's with the 39mm thread. Then there's a bit of tubing and the T3 fits into that. Nicely done but, obviously, scale focussing. The black lens on the left is from a 1960's Zenit.
I cleverly sorted out where it was focussed and what the scale on the mount said as a "look up" table but cannot find it... The Zenit lens mount is for 39mm x 1mm but scale focussing is for a 50mm lens so obviously wrong.
BTW, the later Industar 50-2 don't seem right for it but there were one or two variations. Anyway, there's plenty of these hybrids on ebay and some very cheap too.
I thought one of the BLIK RF's would match it but don't know what the RF's scales show. So more to go wrong...
Regards, David
PS (Edit) I forgot to say how pleased I was with the little lens. I should have cornered the market in Lomos etc first. You can still pick them up dirt cheaply, say a pound or so as the Cosmic Symbol is generally despised but I think it's clever piece of work. What my mother called "cheap and cheerful" many years ago.
PPS (2nd Edit) I just had a thought, it's a WA lens so not going to be critically focused close up but mostly used outdoors. So I could calibrate it as a zone focussing lens at say f/5.6 or f/8... Just a thought as it will make life lot easier.
PPPS (3rd Edit) A photo has been added...
