Don't convince yourself Dez! It looks great to me. I believe you will kick yourself if you do. A little vinegar will take the red oxidation off.
I personally wouldn't even touch the first one below. I like it for the fact it's been around. The reason I bought it! It even works! The last picture however is the one I have stripped. Now that I don't feel bad about one bit.
Hard to tell but it had 3 layers of paint. Black, silver and black. Find a really ugly one that takes no self convincing.
