Rangefinder collection

It's been a while since I last logged on; been busy taking photos and developing film.
We have added quite a few classic rangefinders to our collection and are doing our best to test them all. The first cameras we collected were medium format roll film but we have found the 35mm rangefinders more interesting (there are more of them). The most fascinating part of collecting these cameras to us is to use them and compare the results.

Due to the age of many of the cameras the photos taken with them are not of the original quality from the camera but we are slowly servicing many of them. Our collection and photos taken with the cameras can be seen on our website at

Wow, wonderful collection and I like how I can see some images after selecting a camera.

One more thing, I like how your collection is actually used, and not just shrinkwrapped on a shelf.

Thanks everyone who took the time to look at our collection; and I know from the web stats that many of you did.

We were out again yesterday photographing in North Norfolk; Jenny took her Canon 1Ds to try and get shots of seabirds in flight and I took the Bronica 645 with a 100mm lens to get some people shots. And of course we took along a bunch of old rangefinders from the collection, about 6.

Today we have developed the film and most of the cameras have given good results; when we have scanned and edited them we will post them on the web.

It is not the collecting that is the interest with us but the using. Of course many of them are beautiful pieces of engineering to own and admire but they are so interesting to use and test. With quite a few of them it is fascinating just to figure out how they function and what all the knobs and buttons are for.
