Rare Leica M2

Non capsico molto bene l'italiano ma I think "Il modello in questione è dotato di autoscatto e levetta di sblocco del riavvolgimento" means it has a selftimer and a lever-operated rewind release, which are fairly common. In fact the early ones with no ST and the button rewind are probably rarer. The only rarities in the M2 lineup IIRC are the ones with M4 loading gear which were made for a military contract and then the surplus was sold in the USA as the M2R after the M4 was already on the market. Tom A is the resident M2 expert though.

Adding "Rare" to the Ebay title doesn't make it so. I see that especially common with Kiev or Fed cameras.

Some time ago an eBay seller posted an auction for "the rare Canadian version" of the M4-P. I couldn't resist sending the seller a question - "can you please show me an M4-P which was not Canadian?"

The seller replied with "mind your own business." What a surprise!
