Ray: It really does make sense to sell everything and then buy somereally nice selected items. It takes some guts to sell for a loss and lose all the beautiful items that I have accumulated and then start again from scratch.

When I first started taking photos I couldn't wait until I could get a job and afford to buy more cameras and lenses... Well that day finally came and now I would kill to be one of those students that comes in and buys their first camera and lens and has no interest in anything more. They are just overjoyed to have a camera of their own. They take pictures while I spend weeks before each trip debating which bodies and lenses to take with me....
THEN. I finally got my grail. I bought a Leica. I was even lucky enough to get it with the 35 summicron asph that I had coveted for so long... That was it. I finally had it. I was done with that system. All I wanted was one leica body and a lens to put on it. Simple and Sweet.
Two days later I had a 15 and 90CV
Someone kick me.
THEN. I finally got my grail. I bought a Leica. I was even lucky enough to get it with the 35 summicron asph that I had coveted for so long... That was it. I finally had it. I was done with that system. All I wanted was one leica body and a lens to put on it. Simple and Sweet.
Two days later I had a 15 and 90CV

Raid, just from having looked at your photos a lot, I think you would really like a modern version of the 50mm f/1.4 Summilux pre-asph. It has very nice bokeh, it is still sharp, flare resistant, and it is not super expensive. It seems like it would be all you really need to me. Perhaps I am wrong with regard to your tastes, but you don't seem to have a taste for the ASPH optics, but you want a do-it-all lens, so I think the 50/1.4 pre-asph would be a great choice. For the same reasons, do you need anything more than a 90mm f/2 summicron pre-asph? It is very sharp stopped down, and wide open it has a nice softness. It is fast, and you already own it.
Now don't get me wrong, I don't want to tell you what to do with your gear and so forth, but if you are looking to simplify, it seems like the latest non-asph Leica lenses would give you the balance of performance and build-quality, along with pleasant character that you seem to like.

You have made a correct guess of which type of lenses I appreciate, and having a 50mm/1.4 Summilux pre-asph would be a great asset to me. I don't like the harsh looking out of focus rendering of aspherical lenses. My 90mm Summicron is the old version, but I like it.
Now I need to sell stuff.

With your indulgence, I'll add a metaphor to the discussion. Inexact to be sure, but such is the nature of metaphor.
I see lenses as being like the brushes a painter uses. Different brushes provide different looks. True of lenses as well.
There are times when a softer brush is appropriate and others when a sharp edge is 'right'.
M mount cameras offer a wide array of 'brush' options and therefore lots of choices for the photographer. LTM lenses can be used with adapters and make it even more interesting.
That said, I find myself trying to focus more on subject and less on gear. Wish me luck! 😀

Gabriel: Try convincing my wife with such an arguement! I am still defending having a (users) 1977 Mercedes Benz 450SL car that is mostly just a headache. I try to convince her that it is a "classic" and that it is like a Leica (or vice versa). I also find that different lenses can bring out different flavors when used with the right subject matter. As long as we support each other, we will convince ourselves that we must be right.
