You have to love Melbourne which is perhaps Australia's most European feeling city. It was not really a photography trip but I did have the opportunity to make some images. Here are a few shots from that recent trip. Mostly made with either an Olympus OMD EM5 or a Sony NEX 7.

My addiction to reflections is there for all to see. As is my love of the work of the late great Saul Leiter who has been an influence for me.

Hope you enjoy. Cheers Peter

This is my favourite Peter. Thanks for sharing!

Peter - seeing a city (that I know well) and it's inhabitants through your eyes makes it even more special. Thank you for the inspiration.

Thanks very much lynnb. I was forgetting you are an Aussie and probably know these locations although I think you are from Sydney????. This one of course (as with some others) was taken at the Houpton Tea Rooms in Block Arcade. http://www.hopetountearooms.com.au/

Yes I agree, this image is perhaps a favourite of mine too. Its one that more than the others really reminds me of what Saul Leiter's work was like. So I am particularly happy with that fact given my regard for his work. For some reason the laughing lady in the background especially reminds me of some of Leiter's photos.
