Hey everyone,

I've got my hands on a Leica M3 user body with the idea of using my 50 lux asph on it. However, the rangefinder's minimum focus seems to be about one meter, vs .7 for the lens. I've heard it's possible to lower the focus distance of the rangefinder to .7 meters. Anyone have any details on how this can be done?

The rangefinder is also quite dim and seems to need a bit of vertical adjustment as well, so if there's someone that takes care of all of this, all the better.

Check with Sherry Krauter. She lubed and adjusted my 35 cron Ver III and un-jammed my MP. Work was done quickly and priced reasonably.

If I remember correctly when I changed mine it just requires bending if the arm that stops the roller arm from moving forward. It only took a minute.

Did the same, again only takes a very short time to do. Illustrated instructions are on the web .... somewhere.

I simply (and gently) "took the matter n hand." Brian might be able to attest- everything works fine.

Yes, the M3 Single Stroke has worked perfectly all these years. You lose the motion of the Parallax lines at ~0.8m or so, but the focus patch keeps on moving.
