I do not have any first hand experience with the Reflecta MF5000, but I have studied threads on this very forum when trying to decide between purchasing an Epson V750 and a dedicated medium format film scanner:

thanks for the links. i found some of them. what i have noticed about this scanner is that you have to scn each frame one by one. for MF with my rz that is fne but with 35mm with 36 frames thats to tie consuming. I really need a scanner as im shooting and developing my film but dont get to see results. i head to a lab and pick singe frames to scan but i need to scan the whole roll.

i have a dedicated 35mm scanner and I never scan the entire roll. At best 2 or 3 out of 36 are worth a scan. But if you have to do every frame, a flatbed or a dedicated 35mm scanner with batch scanning would be better. I know you are specifically asking about MF and I am not sure if a dedicated MF scanner exists with batch scan capabilities.

that is a very valid point. my friend has a v800 and for referencing the frames scanning all is useful. ill have to check about the batch scan. ive read that with the reflecta after every strip you need to exit the scanning software to recalibrate the scanner. very long process.
