If you just want the covers painted, and you can get them off yourself, I can recommend a gunsmith local to me, Galyen Custom Coatings. I had him paint my Leica IIIc for a total of $40 in cash. He has access to reverse electrolysis and will use a light sandblast to prepare the surface for paint. B-9 sent me a small pack of B-929 me strip the chrome / nickel off my covers too. Having done it once, I would recommend having someone else do it unless you like dealing with nasty chemicals.
This one was done in KG Gun Kote satin black. He can also do Duracoat (which the Starkies use) as well as Cerakote. I had to wait about a week for painting and curing. He could probably also fill engravings, but I did those at home with a Markal Paintstik.
