I recently replaced the shutter cocking rack on my IIIc and now everything works perfectly with one lone exception. The problem is that when I advance the film, it moves the frame counter two or three frames at a time. Is this a simple matter of the cocking rack being "set" incorrectly, or might there be an issue with the frame counter mechanism itself? I haven't ran a roll of film through yet to determine if it is actually advancing two frames at a time, or if the counter is just moving too quickly (my gut says that the fixed length of the rack itself limites how far the film can actually wind, meaning that there is probably an issue with the counter, but I am not ruling anything out).

Has anyone ever encountered a similar issue? Thanks in advance.

The adjustment Chris is referring to is shown here. See the red arrow.. Turn the screw in or out to fine tune the counter..

Also note the correct rest position of the cocking rack... Second image...

And for those who noticed....yes that is a shutter blade jammed under the counter.. I have no idea how it got there but was there when I removed the top cover..

I just got done adjusting the screw and now it works like a champ. Now my only question is where do I send the beer to?

I have the same problem with a IIIC (big C). The frame counter advances by 2 instead of 1 at a time. I am aware of the different procedure for removing the Big C top cover. Perhaps I can re-purpose a calipers to serve as a pin spanner.

When I get the top cover off, as a starting point which way do I turn the adjustment screw?
