Retina lla noob

Could someone enlighten me on a beautiful Retina lla I purchased from evilbay? It seems to be working flawlessly; smooth as butter, but I notice that when I change the f/stop, the shutter curtains do not move; no opening and closing as the aperture changes. Is it me or a problem with the camera? It's my first Retina and it comes from a reputable dealer...

I might be using the wrong term, Pitxu. On my Contax lla, I see the blades/curtains open and close as I change f/stops, so I was expecting the same from the Retina. The lens on the Contax is a 50mm f/2 and on the Retina it's a Xenon 50mm f/2.

I think so, and admit I'm not familiar with those...btw the word I wanted is 'diaphragm'. I believe the 'leaf shutter' is the key to my problem...
