New York RFF Hits NYC June 28

Sometimes I am just astounded how well my life works out! For example:
I arranged to have 26 through 29 June off--mostly for the NYC gig and also cuz I wanted to play a bit for the b-day. Apparently fate decided that just wasn't enough fun. So my first day off I spent mostly in a clinic and finding out I have "unspecified upper respiratory viral infection" OH JOY :bang: :bang: OK, so I feel like barely warmed over dog poop. I can deal with that. BUT I am very contagious for lets see, yeah the next two or three days. 😡 😡 😡 😡
I'll be healthy enough to associate with people just in time to go back to work.
Yippee skippee.
Folks, I wish you all have a great time but I won't be there--the people I work with(well, one or two)I wouldn't mind giving this crud to but not any of you so I'm staying home.
Another fine vacation. Typical.

5 am
My bag is packed,
the dogs are feed and have already been out,
cats are fed,
coffee is made and poured,
a quick check here and a look at the weather in the big city.
Today is the big day, I will be wearing orange guys, that should make it easy enough to find me.

Have lotsa fun, guys, and be sure to post photos afterwards!

I wish I could be there 🙁

Kurt I am expecting to hear ALL about lunch...really wish I could join you.

Have fun people...and remember, "lets be careful out there!" 😀

It's about 7pm on June 28. I had a busy and hot day at work.

I wonder how our boys are doing in NYC?

The boys are back,
The boys are back,
The boys are back in town!

We had a great day; Backalley, Rover Scott and I. We had lunch at ; you won't believe this, Kosher Delight, which had IMHO better pastrami than the other places I reviewed. we visited the International Center of Photography which we stumbled upon on our way to MOMA which subsequently turned out to be closed on Tuesdays. We also visited B&H Photo, Photo Village and Adorama. I am sure photos will follow. Right now I am relaxing under the influence of dinner and two scotch and sodas.
Kurt M. (laryngytis and all)

Nope, they are real nice folks a I am sure you are too.
Kurt M. (tired and hoarser after a real nice day).

greetings all!

the day was great and i think we all had a pretty good time.

i am about to soak my tired feet and then eat a large bowl of ice cream!

the worst part of the day was that no one had canon screw mount lenses for sale.
the best part of the day was that no one had canon screw mount lenses for lenses, so now i can stop feeling sorry for myself thinking that if i still lived in the big applet that i would have access to tons of cool gear.
guess it's ebay or the forum for me.

i did enjoy the day, the food and the company.
will write more later when the fatigue lifts.

Yes, the long trip home is over and a pillow calls. A big thank you to Scott, Joe and Kurt for the good day in the city. The weather held out for us and hopefully we will have some photos to prove this all happened.

Well, I had one for sale 🙂 It's wasn't the 1.4, though...

So here are a couple of digicam shots (the film ones will have to wait...)

Scott

not sure how many i shot but i doubt many/any will be in focus.
i shot mostly with the 28 set up for hyperfocal and shot as we were walking.

what was amazing was rover's will power...ask him about that summar in photo village...
