New York RFF Hits NYC June 28

I said no Frank, the Summar was only $125 and I walked away!!! This is an important step in my recovery.

Hello, my name is Ralph and I haven't bought a 50mm lens in 3 weeks, and i don't have plans to buy another for about 3 weeks more. 🙂

And if it's still available in 4 weeks?

he he he he,

Frank is already on the phone to Rich Pinto.

It was in decent shape for a Summar Frank, not great, but good for a 70 year old lens. As Scott pointed out, optically it was in a little better shape than the one he had with him.

And I would like to add that my low back and legs are pretty sore today. Lots of walking around town yesterday. After Joe and I parted I walked up to Times Square and around there for a while before getting on a train home.

Definately a good day. I feel like I got to see some old friends.

very cool!

actually except for a blister on my foot i'm not feeling too bad for an old guy!

the lens might have been a bit hazy or it could have cleaning marks on the front element.
but it is old...

did we mention what a great guide kurt was?
he was a fount of first hand history about buildings and cemeteries and what used be there or here and when it used to be there.

way cool!

I enjoyed it immensely and while older than Backalley by some years, by some miracle have no aches or pains anywhere. Probably the steroids I am taking for my throat condition. At any rate, a great day.
