RFF meet, Hales Ales in Seattle, 18th of Feb.

I really need to try and make a meet before I decide on an M camera...this way I can fondle everyone else's to try and decide. :p

Great photos...looks like everyone had a lot of fun.

We chatted about them. General consensus was that Billingham makes great quality bags, but some aren't well designed for working out of and all are expensive. The Mclassics was liked by most, but wished that the strap system that is on the Billinghams could be on it as well. People seemed interested in the weird Lowe Slingshot bag that I have been using. But it's far from a normal shoulder bag.

And as usually happens, it came down t people likeing the Domke bags best in overall price/performance.

so the mclassics strap is not a favourite.

and i think that with it being on the back, when 'wearing' the bag, it helps the bag to mould to your body shape.

i like the billinghams as well, very well padded.

I should have explained that better. I didn't mean the shoulder strap, but the three straps that hold the bag closed.

I agree that the position of the shoulder strap on the back of the bag is a very good design feature, kudos to Seth for that.

Great Time

Great Time

It was great to meet everyone at Hale's and finally put faces with names. I hope next time I have more time to hang out and talk more. I learned a lot in a short time.
It was really helpful to see all that equipment and handle it to see what the next purchase will be. :) I would have to say that the Bronica 645 that shutterflower brought is really making my credit card itchy.
Josh - great photos!

Cheers...

got ya!
i like the straps on the billingham oo, seems so common sense.
i never use the those small straps on the mclassic, just the velcro, unless i'm on a plane or something.

I still need to soup my BW from the Seattle meet (this week!), but here is a nice benefit of the Seattle focusing fluid meeting. Two fresh handles for two of my FSU cameras (KIEV 4A, ZORKI 4).
