i think this may help invigorate many who want to shoot more.

I think think this is a great idea, not only will we participate in the monthly theme, but eventually we will be the one calling the shots as the person who's photo is chosen as the best representation of the theme will be the Salon Boss for the next month.

Great idea but still I'm wondering about this thread's visibility. The monthly theme project also disappeared into oblivion because it's not fixed on the RFF home page. After a while no-one can find it unless they deliberatedly go to the forums list.

I'd say, for the sake of visibility, keep this thread (and the upcoming PAM threads) fixed on the RFF front page.

And I have a in image processed this month that fits my interpretation of the "New Beginning" theme.

The concept is also good get out and shoot motivation for future months.

OK. Here's my entry.

Why?:

My Dad passed away 18 months ago, suffering a massive stroke 2 days after he was offically cleared of cancer after a 6 month battle. He never got to meet his grandson. But our son Benjamin has bought us so much joy and helped us to realise that with every ending there's a new beginning...

Last week I was innocently printing some photos on campus when I was suddenly conscripted by a photography class teacher to hang a student exhibit in our campus gallery. I went back the next day with my Bessa R and the 50mm Nokton loaded with ERA (100 ASA film) and I took a couple photos. It occurred to me that for many photographers this is in a sense a beginning. This is where the novice photographer gets 'outed' to their peers.

Well, I'm new to this small town in the South Coast of NSW - relocating due to job commitment. Sunday morning bike ride and shooting ritual.

M3 - Lux 50/1.4 - Agfa Scala - Ilford DDX 1+4 9mins. I left my thermometer in Melbourne but I'm sure water temperature was 23°C
