Gekopaca, I hear you. The watermarks are certainly way too big and maybe I don't need them at all?

Yes I think you don't need them.
Nobody steals pictures on the web, and if somebody really wants it it's easy to mask it with PS10.
IMHO even signatures are kind of vulgarity on the pictures; signature is a painting practise, no a photographic one.

Quick question: do you guys shoot 'in-camera' black and whites, or do you convert later? My III will be showing up tomorrow and want to go shoot right away...

I do both, but most often it's color and I convert it in Lightroom. The nice part about converting is because it's in color you can use filter effects and you can always have a colored version in addition to the black and white.

I have a vI.

Most of the time I shoot "in camera" B&W, because when I shoot people Raw is too long to process.

I would shoot in Raw because I could post-process and have more possibilities : colors or B&W, grain, textures, dynamic range…

But I love the B&W jpegs of the vI. Really close to TriX +2 stops.

I shoot RAW only and convert in Lightroom. I like the extra control in post processing but if you are not that way inclined the camera produces perfectly fine JPGs, B&W and colour.

For B&W with the GRD III I alternate between RAW+JPEG and JPEG, JPEG for when I require some more speed, like on the street. The RAW processing isn't too slow if you have a fast SD card, but at times, you really need the speed that only JPEG can afford you. For colour I always shoot RAW+JPEG.

I really enjoy the BW my GRD produces. I never touch my Nikon D300 anymore. It is just a great camera to carry with a toddler in tow.

FrozenInTime, those are beautiful panoramas. They strike me deeply as this is how I remember Valley of Mt. Cook when I visited with my wife two years back (the best trip of my life, also the most expensive one 😛) I carried 3 cameras but did not manage to bring photos half as good as yours (pure envy 🙂). Thank you for posting (if you have more - bring it!).

If I may ask - are these stitched panoramas?
