A few more from the GRD3. Found this neat old Buick at lunch today. Played with the processing a bit in LR3. It's a little extreme, but I don't hate it...

Wow, it's my local watering hole! You even got George the owner in the photo. (the blue shirt in the window)

Incredible image. I almost missed the sand in the bottom third. Very nicely done!

Thanks, I had a few shots where the sand glistened a bit more, but the composition just didn't work.

Finally got one of these little guys and it's really fun! Seems to do okay up to ISO 400, then it gets a little weird, but otherwise.. I love it!

I think you picked just the right one to represent the day. Great image. I love it that the sand became an afterthought and the silhouette was so prominent. Well done!

This is a cargo ship headed out to sea on the Savannah, GA river front this past New Year's Eve. We were waiting on our ferry boat to pick us up and this guy was headed out. I think it was 8 seconds at f/8 (ISO64 maybe). It's one of my all-time favorite GRD3 images that I've taken. I just love the color of the sky and the lights and the movement on the ship.
Enjoy.
Enjoy.

That's Papa on the right (my wife's grandfather) and Nick and Carey on the left (my wife's cousin and his son). It's amazing to have 4 generations in the family still. I really should try and get a photo of all of the men and boys in her family... It's shots like these that make me adore the GRD series of cameras. And they're the ones that remind me of how amazing it is to have such a capable camera in my pocket wherever I go. As Chase Jarvis would say, "The best camera is the one that's with you." And I can't think of a better camera to have with me than a Ricoh.

I went out to the farm today to put some rounds through a new pistol and snapped this photo of some corn growing out there. It's been a great year for corn this year because of all the rain.
