Ricoh GR-D (I,II,III,IV): Post your photos!

As promised. Or threatened. Guess what kind of optics I'm wearing.

Hint: it ain't Ricoh optics.

Is this the new 28mm viewfinder I've been looking for my GRD IV?

Nice quote, Chris. I look like a character in a French dystopian flick. But I was totally impressed to find the Leitz badge on this monstrous optic and managed quite an acceptable self portrait with both arms stretched out.

I'm going to ask the optician what they do with the old optics (probably use them forever like M3s.) This could make the best Halloween mask, especially if you wore nothing else.

Good call Robert. I imagine it would be quite heavy as a mask :)
It's that type of longevity that keeps me eyeballing Leicas. Hmmm, someday....

Eye rests while looking through latest posts. I'm starting to get used to IV but still don't understand some of it's features like what's the 35mm crop mode and is there any use for it while you can crop afterwards? I'm using sigma dp2 view finder on IV and it's doing it's purpose in aiming but not good for composing. Any suggestions for cheap external viewfinder to use with IV?
Cheap? I haven't found any, but I am waiting for a Like New Voigtlander BL 28mm, that has been reported to be a good match for the GRD IV. Will let tou know how it works.

I'm getting vertigo from these....!

The topsy turvy perspective is challenging to all my visual biases and habits. But I see the rationale for the reversal. Will have to look at these later again.

I have been working on this type of image for a while.
Robert is correct in the topsy turvy nature of the images. Flipping them was an attempt to remove them completely from reality.
Petronius, I am a shadow junky as well. Long shadows are too intriguing to pass up.
Thanks to both of you and to Raphael as well.
Dominique
