Was playing with my GR at home today and found out, if you press the macro function button (and hold), you can change the snap focus distance with the front wheel, of course, works only in snap focus mode.
I simply love this cam, the only thing i miss is a built in viewfinder like the one in the analog GR, especially here in Barcelona with sunshine on felt 350 days the year.

It is an amazing little camera that can be configured in many ways. I love the TAv setting. To call it a P&S is really not doing it justice.

Tav setting originated on Pentax DSLRs and is very well done.

If you have interest in the Ricoh GR and do not know of the large body of work he has shown around the world using a Ricoh GR.... go to YouTube and search his name.
Daido Moriyama.
I believe he switched to a Nikon P&S, which did not last long before returning to another Ricoh. He is now in his 70's and still prolific last I read.
Some incredible videos.

Daido has used various p&s, and yes he is still working. He prefers small cameras. He has been using Ricoh GRs before they became digital. He switched to Nikon for a very short time, but switched back to the GR. His work has a spawned many a Japanese imitator.

Couple of you guys mentioned picking the GRD over the M9 for street photography and I'd love to hear a bit more about this.
