Ricoh GXR A12 50 & 28 Image Thread

U could also look at Sony a series dslrs as well.. But since u are happy w/ the original Minolta version.. It is more of an FYI. Since Sony acquired Minolta, their A series dslr is really the Minolta mount (if I remember correctly). Used Sony dslr should be pretty cheap as well.

The only Sonys I can afford I do not like. I played with Sony Alpha mounts a lot at the camera stores in Japan. The only ones I like were the A900/A850/700 and a99/a77. The others left a lot to be desire, so a Minolta 7D is it!

It has been two weeks since I picked this camera up. Took these late last week.

It has been a while since I posted anything in this thread. Photos taken this morning.

They might be the last. I am contemplating selling my GXR kit. My photographic vision has changed since I have moved back to Canada. A dSLR may be in order!

Maiku,

I'm curious about what DSLR you'd move to and why. A full-frame? (If not, what's the attraction?)

Anyway, like RHL-Oregon, I'd miss your stuff.

I would buy a Sony A850. I want the full-frame digital experience. I was lucky earlier this year buying a Minolta 50/1.7, 28-85/f3.5-4.5 and 70-210/f4 lens for a miserly sum. However, I do not know yet! I just know that I want a different digital experience. The GXR may stay after using it exclusively the last week. More photos to come later this evening.
