I tried to find a location to post images and words about the 28 & 50 but no luck.
If the mods need to move this or delete it, well....so be it...

Thanks, Methinks I'm the only member on this forum using these lenses.
Allabody else using their fancy schmansy MF stuff.

That may be true, it is a "range finder" forum after all - birds of a feather etc. I'm guilty too, as I've not yet adopted a lensor. Eventually I'll get there.
To me it doesn't matter what produced a compelling photograph although oftentimes who produced it matters a whole lot to me.

Ya know...I feel the same way. I guess my name here should explain my preference for a camera.

Great work everyone. The A12-50 really makes great macro shots.

Nice stuff. You have a good grasp of the GXR.
The problem here is that the GXR is listed under the M module.
It should have been the GXR forum with the M module under it.
Shooters can't find the GXR, only the M module users.
Tis a shame indeed. I think they loose much traffic here because of that.

Thanks Don. I also notice that the GXR forum doesn't appear at the left hand side of the main page with the other forums.
I actually had an M mount for a while but when you only own one piece of M glass it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. It wasn't noticeably sharper for me to shoot the module with my 35 'Cron instead of the 50 2.5. Don't get me wrong, it was sharper, just not by a whole lot. Besides, the focusing with the M module needs improvement. Right now I'm looking forward to the new zoom if they ever get around to releasing it.
Here's one with the M mount and 35 f/2 V4 'Cron:

I've mostly been using the 28 lately, though. I think that combination is the closest one can get to the old GR1 in the digital world.

Another thing I love is that you can fine tune the sharpness and contrast of black and white jpgs. This camera is the best digital for black and white I've ever used.

I have to admit, I have many Leica lenses from over 45 years of collecting and using but I just can't see myself using them on the GXR. I tried my friends M module for a week and gave it back quickly. For me, AF or Snap is a must.
I use the 28mm mostly but there's something magical the way the 50mm draws. It's the the FOV because that's not my view at all but it just does something with light that I've really come to get excited about.
More images coming shortly....
Thanks for posting on the thread..... Maybe we can get an Admin or Mod to wake the forum up to the GXR as a camera and not just a module for M lenses....

TKH, I like that watch! Looks like a 6309 case with aftermarket or relumed 6105 dial. I have a number of Seiko divers but nothing vintage.
