Just got another nice m2 after being away from leica for 15 years. I want to work almost entirely in B&W with some fill light. Have a metz ct45 but it's just too much light for me. Would like suggestions on a small, high-quality fill light that works well with the m2. Thanks for any help.

The flash sync will be a problem, yes? Any small automatic flash with a flash sync cord input will do if you can get an adapter for the flash sync port.

Keep attention, M2redux: the flash socket of the Leica M2 (and M3) don't accept the normal synchro cord with 3 mm plug diameter. You need a flash adapter socket, to use the normal synchro cord of the modern flashes: i have a Rowi adapter.
Ciao.

Thank you all. The m2 came with an adapter and it works fine with the metz light I have. I'll look for a good little light, but since all new ones fit a hot shoe do any still have a cord? Just fishing here for some good info on lights; I can of course go to a stores and check them out here in Phoenix, Arizona area. Metz also makes small lights. Anyone have experience with them? Think I'll keep the big metz also for big interior commercial shots. Again, thanks.
