Can anyone tell me what the specific gravity of Rodinal/R09 is, I've tried searching t'interweb and various forums without any definitive answer.

Thanks

I have a box at home, I'll check to see if it's indicated. Until then (this probably won't help much) Rodinal is more viscous than water, think syrup but less than honey

Sorry technical confusion, I think I mean liquid density, so assuming 1 litre water = 1kg, what would 1 litre of Rodinal weigh?

But if you want to calculate the specific gravity of Rodinal, it is quite simple to do. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Specific_gravity

😀 😀

For curiosity's sake, why do you want to know? I am sure you know it is used based on the ratio of a mix of water and Rodinal.

half litre (500cc) rodinal bottle weighted full 724g and empty bottle 64 gram, so 500cc weights 660 gram... One litre (1000cc) weights 1320 grams. ( a great developer, when you know how to use it RIGHT !!)

Thanks folks, much appreciated

It came up in a conversation on another forum where somebody was using scales to mix up their dev and I didn't think it would be the right ratio, so I just wanted to check.
