Rollei 35 pictures

Picked me up a 35S this week. It's my third 35S, but I had to return the first one (in 2006) due to poor financial planning--and the second was knowingly bought as a gift for my sister. This one's gonna stay mine.

It's April in Innsbruck, but there's still snow up in the mountains so it's not uncommon to see ski and snowboard gear down in the city.

All great shots Nick but especially photo 6, my favourite, the sort that takes your breath away! One can look at it repeatedly without it ever losing its appeal. The sort of photo that goes on a shelf or desk and never gets moved.

Although at first sight it seems a paradox that a lens can be of high contrast and yet at the same time retain highlight detail I know exactly what you mean - I get the same with my Zeiss ZM Planar 50/2, and incidentally with many of my Pentax lenses. A strange quality.

I've recently bought an ME Super and Pentax M 40/2.8, which although much larger than the Rollei 35 certainly isn't bulky. I'm hoping that the lens quality might approach that of your 40mm Zeiss.

Thanks Anthony
Yes that's my favourite one too. As I mention in the blog I shot portra 400 rated at 1600 so it's a bit grainy, but I think it kind of adds to the mood. I'm thinking of making a large (at least A4 anyway) print to see how it looks.
