How do you shoot it? What would you do photographically for your significant other (and I do not mean your beloved gear) on Valentine or any other day?

That's a real tough one, Dave. For Xmas, I once printed and framed a portrait I took of my wife with her grandmother who recently had passed away. My wife liked that very much. Family & places we've been together at, nice matting and framing, along those lines .... Not sure if that helps, everybody is different.

Thanks, Roland, that is a start. Wondering if I can figure out a personal "shoot" using the M3 at a restaurant...of course, showing the waiter or bystander how to use it could be problematic.
