I can't seem to find info on this elsewhere, and since there seem to be a few RX100 owners here I'll give it a shot. I just got an RX100 II for my girlfriend because she wants a new camera, and she likes B&W photography. She has lots of experience with art but not much with photography, and I think shooting B&W photos might help her learn more quickly, similar to how shooting B&W has helped me.
Is there a way to set the RX100's LCD to B&W while shooting? I figure it should be easy enough to convert jpg's to B&W in-camera, but it would be even more helpful to see the B&W image before releasing the shutter. Is this sort of feature relegated to more advanced cameras?
