Met Tom A on the street today at Herald Square in NYC. He looks EXACTLY like his photo. Nice guy to chat to for a bit.

I just spent two weeks with Tom and Tuulikki in Vancouver, they are indeed among the nicest people you could possibly meet.

He mentioned you!

He said he's headed to PA pretty soon for an event. Hopefully someone else has the pleasure of running into him.

Swoop, it was a pleasure to run into you in N.Y. We had a great time - perfect weather etc. There is something about N.Y that fits photography. We also went to Pittsburgh for the LHSA annual meeting - lots of Leica talk - but also an opportunity for pictures. Great city too. I was surprised how much I liked it!
We just came back early this morning (2 am) after driving straight from Pittsburgh to N.Y. - did experience a N.Y syndrome - a two hour gridlock to get on the Verrazono bridge to get to JFK. Now I have to sort out the films and develop them.
Brought the 667W Bessa along, a MP with the 35f1.4 Nokton, the new Super Elmar 21f3.4 and a collapsible Heliar 50f2. I am pleasantly surprised how comfortable the 667W is to carry around - feels more like an oversized M5 than a 120 camera!!
Will stat posting once I have run the films - and wise to the experience - never process while under the influence of jet-lag and lack of sleep!!

PPS I look just like my picture too. You can't miss me. How many guernseys do you see with M2s 'round their necks?

Inspiration!
I propose we do a greater NYC area field trip to a pasture and we all stick our leicas around the necks of the cattle. We need photos of this.
...as long as they're not entempered.
