Leica LTM SBOOI a little loose in the III Flash/finder shoe

Leica M39 screw mount bodies/lenses
At the risk of sounding dull and practical the end of the film box with the speed on it is a tidy solution

For my Leica II that's too thick, plus I might forget to change it. More than once I've exposed HP5 plus like it's Rollei Retro 25. Some quite good shots....

My Leica II just needs a thin piece of paper. My new Leica III needs nothing, although the paint is hardly marked so maybe I'll need paper there after a few insertions and removals.

Hi,

Anyone remember when the standard temporary shim was torn from a cardboard cigarette carton?

We had a new car once with a problem and the technician did a short term fix with a torn bit off of one and it was still there when I scrapped the car years later...

Regards, David

yes I would hate to lose or break my SBOOI, not just because its expensive but also very cool with a superb view:D

You really don't want that drawn-out second of sheer terror that I experienced when I saw my black VIDOM finder fall out of the accessory shoe of my black Leica II onto the market square cobbles. :D

There's worse, I once went to compose the shot and there was no viewfinder; I retraced my steps and found it at the side of the road on a patch of grass.
