Scanner

Few days ago, I bought Canon 4400F, and it's kickass scanner, I'm really pleased... and it comes at only a fraction of dedicated scanner cost.

These one was scanned with Vuescan @ 48bit/4800dpi, with default color options... film is Kodak Gold 200, and lens is an old one CZ Jena 50/2.8 on Praktica L2...

Checked the local brick and mortar store, took up their time and utilized their services. Then you ordered from someplace cheaper.

No wonder camera shops are disappearing.

The cheapest distribution of anything is on line warehouse, but then do you want to try on the shoes before you buy them.

Yeah, you could think that, but, I am a regular customer there. They know me. If I can save +$200 on a buy, I will do that. Besides, I send them enough customers that they actually thank me. And, besides that, they value actual use opinion. What I did there didn't use their time, it was MY time. They are not a BRAND oriented shop, and value the opinions of their customers.
