I've just found a Schneider Focotar for my 1c and noticed that the autofocus needs adjustment from that of the Focotar 2.
Are these lenses different in actual focal length to cause such a discrepency?
Thank you

They are probably slightly different in flange distances. Nothing to worry about. Every lens I have put on my Focomat was different.

Thank you. Not particulary worried. Just curious. Anyone here also have both versions?p

Auto focus enlargers commonly come with a lens; the focus cam is usually cut to match the focal length of that lens. If you remove that lens and replace with another of same rated focal length, you often do not have accurate autofocus. This happens because lenses are commonly not quite their stated focal length, but may be off as much 1 mm or more do to manufacturing variations.

IIRC the barrel of the Schneider version was different. Not sure how different, but in my memory it was a good bit shorter. It has been a long time since I had the Schneider, and I don’t use a focomat so focus isn’t auto for me.
