Schneider Xenon 50mm f0.95

Crazy looking lens!

Does it cover 35mm format or only 16mm?

What are they worth before conversion?

They sell for about a grand, when they go. I was looking to buy one but gave up. Looked for about 4 months.

But factor in the conversion, that's another 800 I think.

I don't think thy cover the full 35mm, and if you look in the link I posted, his film shots with it show the extreme circular vignette.

Here's the info if you manage to get a hold of one to be modified. I really wish it could cover the entire 35mm frame, that bokeh looks absolutely incredible. Unless you could manage to get one of those Zeiss center weighted ND what-cha-ma-call-it filters.

For the price it costs to get this outrageous bokeh anymore, I am beginning to lean towards doing a self modification, read about it here:

I don't know if it looks better than, say, the canon f0.95, which is about the same money pre converted.

Looks cool on the camera though!

I'd find a Canon 50/.95 and send it to DAG for conversion--oh--I did that 😎

Some nice pics from that lens though.
