Screen protectors and protective filters... Are you using them?

I have decided to sell my Fuji X100 and upgrade to the X100T but am wondering if I should do certain things differently in terms of accessorising it.
I am still undecided on wether I shall get a black or silver one; the advantage of getting a silver one is that I can use the hood from the X100 which is silver.

Now, my questions are (not just to the Fuji users)…
Are you using a screen protector or not? And can someone comment on the scratch resistance of (Fuji) displays?
And are you using a filter for protecting the lens or nothing at all? Does not having a filter noticeably reduce flare? And if you are not using a filter for protection, what method or tools do you use to clean the lens if required?

My current mood is to go without filter and screen protector but would appreciate your experiences.

I intend to again buy the original Fuji case and keep my current strap (A+A silk strap), soft release (Abrahamson) and some other assorted stuff. But I am hesitant about on a screen protector and UV filter.

If flare is an issue you can take the filter off. I hate scratches on the LCD so I do have a screen protector.

I use filter for the lens.

I use neither. I'm not hard on the equipment. I like the lens to have an unobscured view. I have many, many UV and skylight filters of all sizes, usually items included for free with an order. I don't know what to do with them.

The filter question has been discussed to death (do a forum topic search). Comes down to your personal decision. My experience is that I have sen "ghost" images of bright areas when I use a filter on the X100. Not always, but enough so that I no longer use filters in general.

I bought my X100 with a big scratch on the LCD. Got it for a song because of that, and I will tell you it has had zero impact on my use of the camera, so I don't quite get why people agonize over scratched LCDs. That being said, I did drop $6 or whatever on a screen protector for a reason I can't explain.

I use screen protectors on my Ricoh GRD4 and Olympus EPM1, as they're often shoved unprotected in a pocket or work bag. I haven't bothered with my Pentax K5 because, frankly, I don't really care that much about it.

Haven't bothered with protective filters on my lenses - the hoods are protection enough.

I could probably act weird instead of regular use of my cameras to keep their glass surface to look like new without protection, but I simply can't eliminate dust and another environment factors from front elements.
It is much more easier to clean flat filter as well.
