So it turns out that Salgado has visited the NYT Mag's offices more than once and when I asked my kid if she would get him to sign one of his (many) books that I have she said "sure"! 🙂

Or you could spring for the big bucks and actually buy the Sunday paper. I think it's available to Bostonians either in a plain brown wrapper or in a plastic bag that has the Boston Herald logo on it.

We get the weekend delivery of the NYT, I tried taking some quick iphone pics, but they don't really show much of anything. Beautiful photos. 6, 7 and 8 in the slideshow are full sheet spreads in the magazine.

I found it interesting that his new process, although using digital capture, provides output to traditional silver gelatin prints via a Kodak digital negative exposure unit. The proof is in the final print. Great images, I've always admired Salgado's work, and this new landscape project of his is interesting in its revealing wildlife in their environs, not just static mountain ranges.

True. The scale of the Salgado pictures is staggering.

The Axelsson slide show making the rounds a bit back was pretty great.

Oh, and they're both very different from Bradford Washburn...
