Second G2 body

Since Contax is no longer on the market I decided to buy me a second G2 body as a backup. Thanks to digital photography i could buy it for a good price !

Jaap, I did the very same, as I got a little nervous about future parts and service! Prices are amazingly low, but I still didn't want to pay the extra for a black one, though one of each color would be useful to quickly tell them apart. 🙂 Now what else do I have that needs a backup too...?? 😀

Yes i also looked for a black one but i like the silver one more and indeed the silver ones are cheaper. I payed 285,- euro (about $ 350),for it ! like new condition. So i,m happy for a while with my equipment.

I also purchased an inexpensive second G2 body last week. It is indeed a great side-effect of digital photography! I might even buy a 3rd, then I would have a body for each lens!

Likewise, picked up a LN- G2 from Keh for around $500, added a 28/2.8 for about $200 to go along with my other G@ and 21-45-90 lenses. Despite me owning a D200 and F5, the Gs wind up getting the most use, by far!

I just received my 2nd G1. $250.00 seems like a good price though it will have to get the lens upgrade. 🙄 😱

I thought a G1 upgrade is for free by the way congratulations with your "new" Contax G1 body !

I have the number to call but I haven't taken the time to do it yet. As it turns out the 2nd boddy arrived with a green label in the film chamber so I think I will have just the one to send back.🙂
