just wondering if anyone uses a second negative holder for their scanner.
i have thought that having a second might speed things up a bit when scanning.
i have an older canon (2710) and am thinking it would be nice to be able to load one up when one is in the machine.

does anyone do this?

I do a preview of most frames and scan the winners. If you scan everything, you'll wind up with a rather large CD or DVD collection.

I have a Nikon LS-4000 I bought new about 3-4 years ago and a used roll film adapter from eBay. Scanning was getting to be a drag before that, putting in one strip of six at a time, but now I feed the entire roll in, preview the first few to set the parameters (I use Vuescan) then set it for List, 1-36, and walk away. About an hour later I have all the scanning in and I review, toss some, keep most, work on the ones I like best.

I know that does not directly address the first question here but I did it in the interest of speeding up the workflow which it certainly does. Used LS-4000 scanners and the used film adapters can be had for a relatively affordable price now. It's a great scanner to boot.

Hello:

I use 3 holders , 2 to mount while the first batch is scanning. Neat as long as my original preferred 12 exposure length rolls were widely available.
