Gee, no one even sent me a note... anyway, I have only the Ulrtron, which is fast and I'm not selling. I have the Skopar, but at 2.5 I wouldn't term that "fast." I also have the Serenar 35/2.8, even less fast that I might be willing to give up - but it's so small and jewel-like... My 35/2.0 is NEVER leaving me. So that leaves me nothing to trade him. Maybe he wants to sell? But I'll bet it has bad haze. Common problem with the 1.5

I'm here if anyone wants to get rid of a decent specimen, though!

Besides, I think Brian Sweeney's going to be doing a Contax/Sonnar conversion in the near to medium future that (if he'll sell to me) may solve my sonnar yearning for a quality lens... I am willing to wait for right now. Twice I bought very quickly without my brain properly in gear, and twice I got bit. Not badly, but bit nonetheless.

Anyway Im torn between giving it up or not, its a beautiful specimen, and the only lens Im really interested as of right now is a v3 or 4 35mm cron, but those cost more than i paid for my lens and M4 combined.

No insult intended, my good Gong. These lenses are just prone to haze. If you have a minty mint one, keep it by all means, or sell it to me. Maybe we can agree on a price that doesn't sound like theft to either side. 😉

I think that if I sell this lens I'll regret it, 35mm is my standard lens but I know I'll want to at least have one 50 in my arsenal, and the 50/f1.5 is a great lens to have pretty much fall into my hands.

It is very hard to decide which to let go.

Come to think of it, I have never taken any images with the 35mm f/2 yet. Perhaps I should take them out for a spin this weekend and see how they perform.
