I just purchased his box with camera and accessories.
I believe it is a rare x ray camera with travel case, circa 1940's.
Any information from the forum would be most appreciated.
Thanks,

I have not received the camera set yet, it is being mailed out this week.
Also thanks DEXDOG for the information.

Hi,
Interesting find. Would be interested in the serial # of the body and also if a lens is included in the outfit, if so the serial # and the data surrounding the ID ring on the lens. The lens mounting flange on the X-Ray camera is similar to those found on the Model 7, 7s and 7sz bodies. The early flange was probably what gave Canon the idea to mount the 50mm f/.095 to the above models. The early X-Ray flanges are thicker, longer and protrude further out from the body than the later version. Also there is no M39 thread in the Seiki mount. I have in my collection the SK X-Ray body #1950 which is pictured in my RF Lens book on page 86 as well as Peter Dechert’s book on page 166. If there is a lens then the serial # may tell me the date it was produced but at a guess it would have been around 1943. Peter

The lens is not mounted onto the body but screwed into the large chrome mount in the box. That black cap with the "SEIKI" mark on the back is protecting the bayonet mount which is locked in place by moving that large protruding lever.
