selling your other cv 35?

for those interested in the new 35/1.4 lens...if you have another cv 35 will you be selling it?

i initially thought i'd be selling my 35/2.5 but it was so inexpensive to begin with that it might not really be worth it.
might be different for the other cv 35s, maybe?

I am selling my ultron, speed wise the nokton and the ultron are so close and I prefer the Nokton design and size.

A lot depends on how it renders for me.
But if I like what I see, I could actually see myself selling my 35/1.2 nokton and my 35 UC hexanon. I like the way both lenses render, but have one for lowlight (just too big for me lug around all the time) and the other for general purpose stuff. In my perfect world, the new 35/1.4 would be a compromise that would replace both - freeing up funds for some other lens.
I don't really care that much for apsherical lenses, but I might actually be tempted to get one of the new leica 28/2.8s - for travel shots.

I am eagerly awaiting some sample photos. The thing that really put me off the 40mm Nokton was the ring bokeh from light sources when wide open. I bought the UC-Hexanon because there was no real CV equivalent for a tiny and fast 35mm. The new Nokton is very tempting, given it's a stop faster and still remains very compact. I would have a very hard time selling the UC-Hexanon, but I would also have a very hard time keeping two expensive 35s when they are my only RF lenses. I do love the UC-Hexanon -- it's fun thinking there are only 999 other copies out there in the whole world.

I may buy the f1.2 if the price moves the right way, but then I’m just a slut for fast lenses. I like the f2.5 too much to think of parting with that.

I dont have any 35mm right now, but news about 35/1.4 brought to my attention that also CV 35/1.2 exists ! 😱
so I havent decided which path am going to go. knowing 35/1.4 price also helps with decision. 35/1.2 is biggish, but so is my M5 🙂

Having just got a 35 Ultron, I will be staying with that. I wish I had waited a little longer and could then have had the choice of the "glut" that might or might not apear once the 1.4 hits the streets.

The 2.5 is a performer. I have a 11x14 that I printed, mounted, matted, and framed on my wall that is really quite impressively sharp for a low-light hand-held photo. That lens just rocks. Inexpensive, small, and light too.

hhmmm...keep the 2.5 as a back up maybe...then, i'd have three 35mm lenses and one 40...seems like alot, too many i think.

The 35 1.2 is one of my all time favorites and I told Kully that I would regret selling it to him. I regretted it after one day.🙁

That would depend on its size and how it renders, but I would seriously compare it against the Ultron (35/1.7). I'd keep my CS 35/2.5 (I really like it) and my Nokton 1.2.

And. Even though it hurts my hand after a few hours carrying it around - I will be keeping this one.
