It's almost time for one of my favorite shooting opportunities of the year, The Chinese New Year Parade in San Francisco. The parade starts a little after 5PM and I thought maybe we could all get together early and have a B&G before the shooting fun starts. A little "post-parade" drink-fest might be in order too.
Let me know if you're interested in meeting up. Great event, target rich photo fun! I was also thinking about setting up a group pool where we can all deposit out images to share, maybe on Flickr.
Here's the link to the parade website.

I'm in.
Last year I'm sure I got some great shots ...
I decided to develop the Porta 400 I had pushed to 1600 at home.
I spent an hour getting all the C-41 bottles to temperature, then push developed all three films together carefully making sure the water bath did not cool.
But when I pulled the film of the reels I found they were all blank - completely blank
The next morning I found a spare silver packet marked developer
Guess what idiot forgot to add the powder to the carefully temperature stabilized bottle of water :bang::bang:

It does have a habit of being a wet event. We're due for some good weather!

Hi Kent,
I'm interested but can only commit to a "maybe" at present. I have to wait until we get closer to the date when I've hopefully racked up enough points with the family that will buy my freedom for the night. :-o

Score some serious bonus points before then Jamie, it's such a fun event and great photo op.

Kent, can you please refrain from doing the dragon dance this year?
Last year you scared people when you simulated shaking the dragon head and moving its eyes, without a dragon head or tail over you. Some kids don't need to see that again. For their own sanity.

I would love to join but can only be tentative at present. I may need to be elsewhere that day b/c of a family medical situation.

I can push your chairs along Market and Kearny, but you two are on your own on Sutter and Post.
