Texture still looks too coarse... I like the overall different look to the MPs because of their fine grained finish

It would be worth contacting Morgan. The skins are natural so the grain varies quite a bit. He could well have sone finer grained skins in stock. I did one of my Pentax's in his med red lizard. http://pentax-manuals.com/camgallery/gallery1.htm
