Has anyone heard from her recently? Ive been trying to contact her about my CL's rangefinder, and have been advised against sending it to anyone else. Should I just wait patiently or keep trying?

She is better at answering the phone than e-mail. And, it is better to call her after 3 p.m. (she is a night owl) than in the morning.

Last time I talked to her she had a couple of close friends who were very ill- she may be a bit busy out of the office- she'll get back to you- and yes she's worth the wait.

Sherry is good. Don Goldberg (DAG) is good. Mr. Ye in Boston is good. Jacob in Houston (where I have had non-Leica work done) is good. There are others. They all charge differently. Sherry is supposed to be the best with the M5. Since the CL is from the same period, perhaps she is also the best for a CL.

She fixed my 35mm Summicron recently and did a nice job. Her communications weren't great. I didn't hear from her for awhile (I was expecting an estimate) and I finally emailed her and she told me it had already shipped and should be arriving that day and it did.

Nice work and fairly priced but it's always nice to have an estimate. Very trusting though as she doesn't take deposits or anything and she just sent the lens back with a bill. Perhaps because of this trust I mailed her a check right away.

I talked to her today, very helpful with my CL, I will be sending it to her soon. I have heard nothing but great things about her work. thanks!

There are few constants in this world. Sherry Krauter and Don Goldberg are constants in the Leica, make that photography, repair world. They can be counted on.
