The past 25 years I have traveled extensively to some of the poorest areas in Asia and I ate what the people ate. In Cambodia bugs and vermin was a main source of protein. At night in rural areas you can see miles of nets by the river illuminated by lightbulbs to attract bugs to be harvested in the morning, fried for breakfast. I drew the line on roasted giant field rats served on a stick with head and tail. I did considered it because the driver said it tasted like chicken. Well just give me chicken then.
